Comparison Between the AG Minc, Laminator and the YourStory

Hello Krafters!

As promised, I have a video comparing the Anna Griffin Minc, a regular laminator and the YourStory foiling. As a word of warning, I have not edited a video in forever so this is a little rough. I promise future videos will be better! I wasn't really surprised by the results...enjoy the video. Thanks for stopping by, Krafthead~

  1. Kenya - would you say the Your Story is adequate for foiling? You have presented an intriguing idea for those of us who are "equipment heavy" and need to be mindful of future purchases. It would be interesting to see pictures of your individual results from each machine. That's what you get from a scientist - always want to see the results of the experiment, ha-ha! Thanks for the video!

    1. I will post the results Boopster. I would not recommend the YourStory for foiling. After the taping I tried putting the foil through several times and it was still splotchy. If you are going to foil sentiments and you do not want to add more machines, you may get away with it but larger prints do not compromise your project and your hard work! Stay tuned for the results! Thanks much~

  2. Good info! I've been trying to decide if I want to buy a Minc or just use a regular lamintor.

    1. Ms. Angie, I like the laminator and it works ok for the most part. One thing I like about the Minc is the options for higher heat settings. For thicker material, you have the ability to make the heat higher. The laminator does not have that. If you can and will use it a lot, go for it! If not the laminator will do the trick.
